About a week and a half ago, I tracked down my prize and my mom was kind enough to stop and get myself and my boss one:

The hunt is over!

My Mission (Should I Choose to Accept It aka If I Have Time).....

1. I must, must, must find my prom photo albums. I have fantabulous pictures of a bunch of friends in there that I must scan and put on facebook so that people can laugh (good natured laughing of course).

2. Still need to complete my homework from Kerry by watching The Da Vinci Code. I have actually inserted the disc into the DVD player. Baby steps people...

3. Have to find the Einstein Bobblehead Happy Meal toy from McDonald's. I think I may have this one pegged but I will know tonight. Must get 2: One for myself and one for my boss (he loves toys too). I would take the Easter Island Head too..

4. Start a crochet project that I hope Stink (aka Danielle) can help me with to be done by July 4th for my dad's birthday. I'm not holding my breath but we'll see.

5. Mail pictures of Emily to Kurin's relatives in AZ and IL. Grrr....I got the envelopes addressed but need to organize my pictures to give to them.

The "Jorge Garcia Project"

I recently found about these neat little figures called Kubricks. They are kind of like Lego people but it's on a whole different level and they're bigger and much cooler. I have a fondness for figures. Not necessarily action figures but I do have my fair share of Austin Powers, Mini-Me's, and Fat Bastards as well as the Sean Astin figures from the LOTR trilogy. Anyway, I learned about these Kubricks and thought they were really kind of neat.
I really liked the fact that there was a series of figures from LOST. Kurin and I watch this show religiously..he actually watches it over and over and over and over...I love it. It's great, it gets you thinking. The plot is so intricate that it occupies your mind for days after watching an episode. Getting back to the figures, I received some. They are "blind-boxed" which means you don't know what you're going to get. The 7 figures that are advertised are: Jack with a gun, Kate with handcuffs, Sayid with a walkie-talkie, Sawyer with a book, Locke with a knife, Charlie with a guitar and Hurley with a CD player. There are also 2 unadvertised figures but I won't get into that now.

I ended up with more than one Hurley which was very exciting and the spark for my idea. I read Jorge Garcia's blog daily. Mr. Garcia plays Hurley on LOST. He seems so normal that it's really cool. He blogs about his dog Nunu, his vacations, it's just a really neat blog and he seems to be a great, down to earth guy..just like Hurley on the show (only he doesn't see dead people in real life..I don't think - hahaha). On his blog, he also freely gives out the address to contact him and I believe he has mentioned that he tries to answer them all himself.

So, it may not be such a big "project", but I am going to send my extra Hurley to him and see if he can maybe sign the box or figure (even though it's kind of small) and maybe take his picture with it or something for me. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do but I hope it's cool. I'll post more when I figure it out. I hope to wrap this up this weekend.
